Children’s Ministry

Our Focus:

Committed to assisting parents raise Christ-centered children, The Merge Community Children's Ministry provides God-centered activities for children, infants through fifth grade.

Above all, it is our desire that children know the Lord and live a life that glorifies Him.  Christ-centered parenting is the BEST approach to ensuring this.  If there is anything we can do to assist you in this challenging endeavor, please don't hesitate to ask!

Our Sunday Morning Experience

When you arrive...

Our greeters will assist you in getting your children checked in and to the right place!

Safety is one of our first priorities, therefore we ask parents to complete a brief identification card listing any food allergies or special needs.  Each child is given a name tag to be worn at all times and parents are issued a corresponding security card for dismissal upon pick up.

For our little ones, we can quickly flash your child's sign in number onto the stage background screen if there is a need to quickly get in contact with parents.  Additionally, gluten-free snacks are served as well.

Infants and Toddlers

Kids are taken to the room before the start of Sunday Morning Service

Nursery- 1 year to 3 years (10:30am-12:00pm)

Staffed with nurturing caregivers, our nursery is a place where children will see God's love in action. Through comforting songs, engaging games and developmentally appropriate toys and stories our little ones begin to explore God's world and who He is.

Preschool-3 years to 5 years (10:30am-12:00pm)

While the church is worshipping, our little ones are exploring God.  Concepts are simplified to be developmentally appropriate. Teachers are sensitive to the class pace, developing 10-15 minute activities in order to retain the student's attention.

Elementary Room

Kindergarten through Fifth Grade(11:15am-12:00pm)

Kids are dismissed after music ministry time in the Sunday Morning Service

Knowing children can also worship, the elementary children participate in the praise portion of our worship service.  When this time concludes, they are escorted to their classroom by the teacher.  From the moment they step in the door, students are encouraged to discover and study God's word.  Special attention is given to hands-on activities that create an experiential environment for learning, in order to keep students engaged.  Skits, crafts and Bible verses are taught. When we have a fifth Sunday in a month, children K through Fifth Grade stay in the service with their parents to acclimate to adult worship to God. Parents walk down to sign out their child to the Elementary Room at the conclusion of worship service for pickup. See the attached "Handbook" for Children's workers requirements, qualities, procedures and policies.
